Façade re-skinning

A complete façade upgrade without heavy demolition.

A dated building can regain a contemporary identity without touching its structure. Façade re-skinning means overlaying a new skin — aluminium, composite, glass or mesh — onto the existing wall.

We work on occupied sites, zone by zone, with phasing agreed with the operator. Re-skinning is often the opportunity to add external insulation, rework openings and upgrade the joinery in a single operation.

Highlights

Prior survey

Survey of the existing structure, anchor pull-out tests and verification of substrate capacity.

External insulation

Real thermal gain with no loss of usable floor area and no slab-edge thermal bridges.

Occupied-site works

Phasing façade by façade, controlled disruption, access and safety organised with the operator.

Bespoke expression

Mesh screens, contemporary mashrabiya, depth effects and panel layouts drawn with the architect.
